How We Do It RIDE THE BUS The Bus is our preferred mode of transportation. Bus pick-up locations are conveniently located throughout Northern and Southern California, based on demand. The luxury charter buses are state approved and are equipped with restrooms, reclining seats and, in most cases, VCR's. Participants must be at their pick up location at least 15 minutes prior to the departure time. Click here for the Bus Schedule. INSTRUCTION Instruction is provided by Sierra-at-Tahoe and Mountain High Resort's professionally trained and certified instructors. Participants are matched with approximately 10 other members of comparable age and ability and assigned to one instructor throughout the duration of the program. The instructors remain with their groups for the entire day, including during lunch. STAFF Blue Angel chaperones are parents of participants, teachers or representatives from other youth organizations. A maximum ratio of 10:1 participants to staff will always be maintained. Additional support staff will be on hand to oversee base facilities and patrol room. Blue Angels supervisors carry handheld radios and are available by phone throughout the program day. EQUIPMENT BYOE (equipment)...OR...rent or lease. All rental equipment must be obtained prior to each Saturday's departure. Special rental packages are available to Blue Angel participants at the participating rental shops. Please note that rentals are available on a first-come, first-serve basis only.
