FAQs
- How are the ski/snowboard groups formed?
The groups of 8-10 are formed based on age and ability. Initially,
we form groups based on the approximate levels, using our PSIA guidelines
and your input. After the first program day, participants may be
switched at the advice of our snow school supervisor.
- Is equipment included?
No, equipment is not included. Participants must bring ski or snowboard
equipment each Saturday. Make sure snowboards have a leash and that
the bindings fit and are in working order. Please visit our Participating
Shop list for a ski/snowboard shop in your area.
- Does my son/daughter need to wear the provided Blue Angels helmet?
Yes, helmets are required and must be worn each program day. They
are used for safety and for identification purposes.
- What if we lose or forget our helmet?
We have a limited number of loaner helmets available each program
day. Lost helmets will not be replaced.
- How do I know if the bus will be late coming home?
We use an "All-Call" phone system to relay bus delay information to you. Your primary phone number will be called in the event of a bus delay. Please refer to "Bus Schedule" for regular return times.
- What if my child leaves something on the bus?
Check with your chaperone the next program day. If this is an emergency,
call the Blue Angels office on Sunday to report missing items. We
will do our best to locate the missing item, and we will call you
with any information on Sunday.
- What will my child need to bring with them each program day?
Please refer to our checklist for a
complete list of appropriate clothing, equipment and other recommended
items.
- Should my child wear sunglasses or goggles?
The best solution is to have both goggles for snowy days, glasses
for sunny days. If you only wish to purchase one, buy goggles with
UV protection.
- Do I need to pack any food or snacks for the bus ride?
Yes, we provide lunch and a small snack; however, we find that most
children are very hungry on the bus ride home. Please pack healthy
snacks and plenty of drinks for the bus ride home.
